Procedural Glass Flower Scattering

Project type

Procedural Modeling / Technical Art

Date

November 2025

Location

Savannah, GA

Made in Maya 2024 using Python language
This project focuses on creating a procedural scattering system for glass flower assets in Maya, using Python scripting to place models across randomly selected points. The goal was to streamline scene population while maintaining artistic control and natural variation in placement.
The glass flowers were shaded using physically based materials, focusing on transparency, subtle roughness variation, and realistic light interaction. This helped reinforce the glass aesthetic while allowing the assets to respond naturally to scene lighting.
